Scott LePenske

Director of Sales and Marketing

Mr. LePenske manages all sales and marketing aspects for the company. This includes the coordination and sales of aerial photography, geographic information systems, soil mapping, cadastral property mapping projects and the marketing of all company services.

Mr. LePenske also provides technical consultation to county, city, township, and state officials on mapping and aerial services. This includes the coordination of activities in various governmental offices, surveys of existing records, operating procedures and the formal presentation of recommendation to governmental officials.

Education

Mr. LePenske has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and an Associates of Arts degree in Cartography and Geography.

Professional History

Mr. LePenske has 18 years of experience in the field of Cartography and Geographic Information Systems. He has managed municipal government projects overseeing the automation of data previously maintained on paper maps and other documents, into a fully functioning GIS database. He is knowledgeable in techniques concerning graphic data entry, editing, plotting, map construction, attribute data management, digitizing, coordinate geometry, land division statutes, and data export and import.

Before coming to Bruce Harris & Associates, Mr. LePenske was employed by the City of St. Charles, Illinois for 15 years as the GIS Mapping Coordinator / Network Manager. His duties at the City included implementing and managing the City's Mapping System. The system included platted subdivisions, low and high flight aerial photography, electrical, sanitary, storm and water infrastructure and information, which served as the foundation for the production of projects such as utility atlases, accident recreation exhibits and numerous administrative exhibits. While managing this system he served as the technical advisor and key contact from the engineering office to the public works, electrical, community development, fire and police departments. He is fully experienced in drafting, graphic design, topography, symbology, and project planning.
