Kevin Hardester

Southeast GIS Sales Consultant / Government Liaison Manager

Mr. Hardester is responsible for sales and marketing in the Southeast Region. Based out of Bradenton, Florida, Mr. Hardester is the primary point of contact between Florida government and Bruce Harris & Associates.

Education

Mr. Hardester attended the City College of New York and the University of Hawaii where he received his BA and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the University of Central Florida for post graduate work in Computer Science. In addition Mr. Hardester is a Certified Florida Evaluator and has continuing education in Management, Real Estate Appraisal, Computer Science, and GIS.

Professional History

Mr. Hardester is an authority on Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Prior to working for BHA, Mr. Hardester was the Vice President and Product Manager for a government national software division for Property Appraisal, Assessment Administration, Tax Collections, and Geographic Information Systems. Mr. Hardester also spent five years as the Chief Deputy Property Appraiser and Chief Information Officer for Orange County, Florida, six years as the Chairman of the GIS Policy Committee for Polk County, Florida, and 19 years in various capacities for Seminole County, Florida including that of Director of Geographic & Management Information Systems. His major accomplishments included converting legacy GIS and CAMA systems to state-of-the-art systems using ESRI and Oracle products; directing the design, development, and implementation of a new CAMA system; and directing the implementation of an Enterprise GIS for private and public use.
